Ehime University High-school has been chosen as SGH (Super Global High-school)

We would like to announce that this school has been chosen as a designated research and development high-school in MEXT’s 2015 “Super Global High-school” project on March 31st 2015. 56 out of 190 schools were chosen as 2015’s designated high-school through public offering. Uwajima South Junior High-school and our school were the only two  chosen from Ehime prefecture.

Designated period : 4/1/2015~3/31/2020 (5 years)

Name of the concept : “Learning from Iyo to the world ~Developing global human resources who holds global-minds~”

Our goal is for students to be able to look at both regional and world issues from a holistic perspective, and we want them to be able to  face challenges  concerning social issues without fear of failure . This type of human resources require logical thinking, communication skills, the power to pursue their assignments, and rich education all together. Therefor, we want to create and exercise new education programs and then estimating and analyzing it by working with local companies or companies that are located in Ehime University which promotes globalization and are developing globalization themselves. We want the students to acquire the following skills:

○The skill to discover and confront their own tasks

○The skill to understand various sense of values and the skill to have a dialogue

○The skill to think and decide logically

○The skill to make use of their knowledge and skills

 

[Outlines of the research and development]

We will develop global human resources with global-minds who would challenge agents global social problems without fearing failure by pursuing local problems. We will set  “Project Studies” which will be proceeded throughout 12 grade as the center of this project and create and exercise new education programs by working with local companies or companies that are located in Ehime University which promotes globalization and are developing globalization themselves. In addition, we will carry out the role as a base school of producing students who can contribute to local developments from a global perspective by widely opening up to the public about our approach.

Based on the rapidly accelerating globalization of today, we aim to develop students who not only holds an interest and deep knowledge of social problems but also has communication skills and global knowledge such as problem resolving skills in order to produce global leaders from our school who can succeed internationally in the future.
