We had a pleasant gathering with Ion Creang High-school which we have a comprehensive agreement on International exchanges. We talked about \u201cHow to spend Summer vacation\u201d, \u201cSummer festivals\u201d, \u201cSummer sports\u201d, \u201cHigh-school life\u201d, \u201cgraduation ceremony\u201d, and \u201cFuture path\u201d. We celebrated students from\u00a0 Ion Creang by singing Ehime University High-schools school song because they\u2019re having their graduation ceremony in two days.<\/p>\n

history and features \/ Established in 1926, the school is name after a writer in Romanian literature. This school forms the base of Japanese education in Romanian as well as Universitatea din Bucure\u0219ti which holds a department for Japanese Education.<\/p>\n
Ion Creang High-school launched their Japanese education program in 1996, and its students have been increasing ever since.<\/p>\n
This was a voluntary subject at the beginning, but now 9th and 10th graders are taking 4 hours of Japanese class a week, for 11th and 12th graders 8 hours a week, as a compulsory subject. The contents of this class are Japanese conversation, Kanji, culture, literature and so on. This school owns a Japanese related library, and has many magazines, dictionaries, books, and learning materials thanks to the support from the Japanese Embassy in Romania and others.<\/p>\n
In addition, they have yukata (an informal cotton kimono (for summer wear), kimono, instruments, origami and so on. An environment to enjoy many types of Japanese cultural experience is arranged.<\/p>\n
