We had a lecture in the theme of \u201cThinking about the coexistence of human and wild animals\u201d.\u00a0 She explained to us that the faculty of Agriculture is a place to study environmental problems, which is caused when human and environment (nature) meets. Environment greatly influences human as well as human greatly influence environment. So it\u2019s up to us humans to create a better environment. She explained to us that it is dangerous to artificially change the ecosystem, the characteristics of citrus fruit cultivating of our hometown Ehime, and that damage by wild boar in Ehime is great.\u00a0 After that, we had a group discussion in the theme of \u201cWhat should we do if a wild boar came to our campus?\u201d.<\/p>\n

I have never really considered environment carefully till today. After hearing this lecture, I realized that this indifference also leads to considering environmental problems as somebody else\u2019s business. The environmental problems around us are all caused by humans. I think that we could make the environment better, too. I will stop considering environmental problems somebody else\u2019s business and start with what I can do.<\/p>\n

The issues that we\u2019ve discussed today were all likely to occur in real life, too. I think we need to take a fresh look at these issues from this perspective. Just thinking about animals that are familiar to me would lead to changing the way I look at them. I want to work on this region\u2019s issues without making unfounded inferences.<\/p>\n

Nature was closer to me than I imagined. I once again realized the difficulty of us humans, nature and animals living together in harmony. I want to value the attitude to face these type of region\u2019s problems even though it may be hard to find a solution.<\/p>\n
